#'''Always''' add the game where it's from and the expansion in the Categories. This helps us find the card more quickly, even more so when there are thousand and thousands images on this site.

'''Trading cards''' should be listed with the card number before the card title. This combination narrows the chance for Sports-Trading Cards, that the same athlete has the same card number in multiple series. If this still occurs, then add an underscore + an abbrevation of the set.

Self-Scanned Images

Images must be scanned at 400dpi with moiré reduction on (minimum 300dpi on older scanners). If the card is a normal size than reduce the image size to 75%. If the card is roughly 1,5 times bigger or more than a normal card, than reduce the image size to 50%.

Images from other sites

If you want to add images for other sites, there are a few things to take into account:

  1. Images with logos of others sites must be replaced as soon as possible with a non-logo version available. (These images are marked with the category: "Image Need Replacement").
  2. Always copy the link of the site, where you found that picture, in the file history. Especially if the site is still available.
  3. Always add the game where it's from and the expansion in the Categories. This helps us find the card more quickly, even more so when there are thousand and thousands images on this site.

File naming

Look at this example: jackbauerloyaltothepresident_D0.

The card title and subtitle is written together with no special characters (only latin letters and numbers, no caps), followed by a underscore ( _ ) and then the abbrevation of the set if there are more cards in that game with the same title (and/or subtitle). The German ß must be written as "ss". Other special characters are reverted to their original English-alphabet letter. Roman numerals must be written as "normal" numbers.

If a set is (partially) foiled or otherwise different from the "normal" set, than add _Foil. (or another printform, like prism).

If the card title is used in multiple games than, before the set abbrevation, add the abbrevation of the game. i.e. MtG (for Magic: the Gathering).

If the cards of the game has no titles, in example for playing cards, or some cards have no title at all, than the image title would be like this: risk_2000_NL_001.

NL is the language abbrevation. It should only be used if the game or the card is printed with the same title in multiple languages.

Trading cards should be listed with the card number before the card title. This combination narrows the chance for Sports-Trading Cards, that the same athlete has the same card number in multiple series. If this still occurs, then add an underscore + an abbrevation of the set.
