Tribbles CCG is the base set. It is the first and only stand-alone expansion of this game published by Decipher on 30 June, 2000. Although this set carries the Star Trek CCG logo on the box, it is NOT an official expansion set (not game compatible) with Star Trek CCG 1st Edition.
In the box, which is 254x188x52mm in size, are four pre-constructed decks totaling 112 game cards, which are color coded to fit a theme. Of the 112 cards, there are 57 unique cards. These cards can be interchanged to create different decks.
To make the game even more customizable, "Tribbles" cards from the Star Trek CCG 1st Edition expansion set "'The Trouble With Tribbles" and "Reflections' as well as virtual cards published by The Continuing Committee are compatible with this game. These cards can increase the highest tribbles card to 100,000, plus add a new special ability (a bonus for collecting a specific set of cards) and different combinations than those included in the boxed set.
There are 4 non-playable reference cards, one for each pre-constructed deck. Also included are 4 special effects cards that explain what the special effects are. In addition, there are scoresheets, a small silver pencil and a rules sheet.
